DJI has unveiled the Mic Mini 2, an updated version of its compact wireless microphone system, featuring a new magnetic cover system that lets users customize the mic’s appearance with vibrant colors. This addition allows the microphones to either blend seamlessly with outfits or stand out as a bold accessory.
While the Mic Mini 2 retains much of the original’s core features, including impressive battery life and transmission range, the new voice presets enable users to prioritize clarity or emphasize lower tones, enhancing audio quality for various recording needs. Despite its global release, DJI has confirmed the Mic Mini 2 will not be available in the US market.

A Fresh Look with Magnetic Color Covers
The standout feature of the Mic Mini 2 is its swappable magnetic covers, which come in 14 different colors including obsidian black and glaze white, the only two included in the base bundles. The other 12 vibrant options are sold separately, giving users the freedom to personalize their microphones to match their style or setting.

Compact Design Meets Long Battery Life
Though slightly larger and heavier than the original Mic Mini due to the new cover system, the transmitters remain smaller than competitors like the Insta360 Mic Pro. The Mic Mini 2 offers up to 11.5 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation off, and a wireless transmission range exceeding 1,300 feet, making it ideal for extended shoots and outdoor use.
